NPR’s “The Salt” features food stylist Melissa McSorley, whose team put together around 800 Cubano sandwiches during the filming of the movie “Chef.” But not all food you see in movies may be what it seems…
According to Houston, TX, police, a 74-year-old woman — a grandmother — had hundreds of dollars worth of meat stolen. The victim discovered this upon opening her freezer to prepare for dinner, and says, “I hope if they see this, they choke on the meat,” according to a KHOU 11 News story on www.13wmaz.com. Gulp.
Protein, it’s your time to shine
A slew of new ads are highlighting the protein already in Kraft Macaroni and Cheese to remind parents of the food’s nutritional value. This protein emphasis certainly goes along with trends we’ve been seeing across the food space, and Kraft’s own Capri Sun will actually be getting a recipe change.
