Dive Insight:
Amid the craze over Greek-style yogurt, it's been easy to miss the rise of Siggi's. That's because Siggi's isn't a Greek yogurt; rather it's what the company calls a traditional Icelandic-style yogurt, or skyr.
The little dairy with the Icelandic recipe has managed to land a number of lucrative distribution deals in recent months. In particular, Siggi's appears to be one of the brands that has won the favor of Whole Foods now that the retailer has turned its back on Chobani.
