- The new ingredient is Superb, made from soybeans. The company touts it as an effective formula for food manufacturers to strengthen water-binding and help meat product and meat substitute texture, in addition to increasing protein and fiber.
- The company is considering pea protein isolates and concentrates as the demand for functional proteins increases for applications in products from energy bars to beverages.

"Our customers are seeking innovative ways to add high-quality protein and fiber to their products, and ADM is responding with one of the industry’s broadest and deepest protein and fiber portfolios," according to Bruce Bennett, president, ADM Specialty Ingredients.
ADM has been making headlines left and right, with the announced acquisition of Eatem Foods company and launch of a new R&D facility geared toward its Wild Flavors business.
The company also recently completed the sale of its global cocoa business to Olam International.
