Snack bar founded by actress Kristen Bell rebrands after raising $4M
A snack bar brand co-founded by Frozen actress Kristen Bell is getting a makeover as it prepares to launch its first product under a new name.
This Bar Saves Lives will now be called All In following a refresh that also updates the brand’s mission and look. All In will launch at retailers across the U.S. with five flavors, including a Madagascar Vanilla snack bar.
“We are making bars that are absolutely craveable, and every bite brings something extra,” James McGinnis, CEO of All In, said in a statement. “We’re All In on ingredients that matter, business that gives back, and community-first action that starts close to home.”
The refresh is backed by a $4 million fundraising round led by Obvious Ventures. McGinnis, who leads All In, had senior leadership experience at CPG brands including Clif Bar. All In’s snacks do not contain gluten or palm oil, and the brand has a kids-focused line free from the top eight allergens.
Nearly half of U.S. consumers purchased cereal and energy bars in the past year, surpassing the global average of 37%, according to Innova Market Insights. Gen Z, millennials and households with children are most likely to eat snack bars more than once a week as they look for convenient snacking options.

Dole makes dessert dreams come true

Disneyland fans will be able to score a theme park favorite treat in the freezer aisle.
Dole Packaged Foods relaunched Dole Whip frozen cups, which will be available at select stores nationwide. The company first brought Dole Whip to the freezer aisle in 2023 with three flavors, though consumers complained it didn't stand up to the classic Disney treat.
The latest launch comes in two options: Pineapple and Mango. Dole noted on its website that the offerings include an “improved flavor.”
“We worked hard to deliver a recipe that captures the flavor and texture people expect from Dole Whip,” Orzse Hodi, president of Dole Packaged Foods US, said in a statement.
The classic Dole Whip is a pineapple-flavored soft-serve dessert that has been a staple at Disney theme parks since the 1980s. The treat was born when Dole took over as a sponsor at Walt Disney World Resort and tasked a food scientist to create a non-dairy, dry-mix version of soft-serve that could withstand the Florida heat, according to SF Gate.
Dole Whip’s freezer aisle version will be available in four packs at retailers, with Costco offering an eight-count version.

Nestlé fries up a new pizza

Tombstone is bringing two bar food staples together: pizza and French fries.
The Nestle-owned brand is launching a French Fry Style Crust Pizza with a crispy potato-based crust. It’s available in two varieties: Loaded Bacon Cheddar and Chili Cheese.
“Our fans aren’t asking for ordinary, and we’re not here to play it safe,” Terry Klein, Tombstone’s brand manager, said in a statement. “This new crust is a bold spin on two iconic bar foods – pizza and fries – fueled by what we’re hearing from fans and what's trending in culture.”
Tombstone, a pizza born in a Wisconsin bar 67 years ago, has not shied away from leaning into its roots when it comes to innovation. In 2023, the pizza brand rolled out Tombstone Bar Snacks pizza topped with mozzarella sticks, fried pickles and fried onions before being finished with spicy jalapeno slices and nacho cheese sauce.
The Tombstone French Fry Style Crust Pizza will hit shelves in July at Walmart and other select retailers for a suggested price of $6.49.
Nestlé, which commands the largest share of the frozen pizza market at about 30%, according to the company, has leaned into innovation to attract new consumers to the roughly $7 billion category.
The CPG giant’s popular DiGiorno pizza has introduced innovations including ice cream cones made from its Croissant Crust, a pizza-themed doughnut and a Thanksgiving Pizza with all the fixings.
