From a selfie spoon and soda so "good" it made a girl cry, below are some interesting reads from the week:
The different types of 'foodies'
It's the ultimate question for food lovers: What kind of foodie are you? Frankly, I don't like labels.
Marketers, it finally happened. A way to combine selfie sticks with cereal. I'm not sure what General Mills' Cinnamon Toast Crunch understands the magnitude of the invention, but it's a selfie stick with a spoon on one end. Insert Gen Z hysteria here (also, shout-out to General Mills' blog for the photo).
It's obvious that soda is an exciting product for children (hello, sugar), and more of a guilty pleasure for adults if they're trying to be healthier. But it's rare for someone to cry — be brought to tears — by soda. And yet, this girl had caffeine-free Pepsi and it changed her life. Can't say that any food or beverage has made me cry, minus anything spicy.
Gwyneth Paltrow + food truck = society today
Gwyneth Paltrow hasn't been shy about her opinions on the food industry, and now she's cooking up something else: a Goop food truck.
A rat carrying a pizza stole the Internet's attention this week. No, really. As a pizza purist, (remember, this took place in New York) the rat had the right idea. Regardless, cue the think pieces, like this one from WIRED.
