Chiquita Brands will launch a new fruit snack at retail this summer, thanks to a partnership with The Jel Sert Company and the help of the brand licensing agency Beanstalk.
The new offering, called "Chiquita Fruit Bites," will come in fruit punch, orange pineapple and banana strawberry flavors, License! Global reports. Robert Stallman, the director of marketing and global licensing at Chiquita, indicated that the new launch would be "an excellent addition to our healthy snacks portfolio.” Those snacks already include a range of products, such as fruit chips, and bite-sized apple and carrot products.
The company has been looking for new opportunities since Edward F. Lonergan became CEO last fall.
