- Pernod Ricard will sell bottles of its Absolut vodka based upon an illustration done by Andy Warhol three decades ago.
- Warhol's original illustration was for an Absolut print ad that began a series of collaborations with famous artists, photographers, and film directors.
- The limited edition bottles will debut Oct. 1.
Absolut's creatively reimagined bottle ads are legendary, and with good reason. And Warhol has also had an impact on other iconic brands' bottle design. In addition to his work for Absolut, Warhol's images also served as the basis of a line of Perrier bottles, and one of Warhol's most famous works is his gorgeous and evocative image of the Coke bottle.
