- In addition, Inventure Foods, Inc. has now recalled certain varieties of its frozen vegetable products and at-home smoothie kits after finding listeria contamination at one of the company's facilities.
This abundance of caution will undoubtedly be very costly for Jeni's and Blue BEll, though the action is meant to protect consumers at all costs as well as save face amid a hurtful controversy. Listeria outbreaks appear to be more common as of late, so it will be interesting to see how Blue Bell and Jeni's, as well as other companies navigate recalls.
