Haagen-Dazs wants a bigger piece of the frozen treat market in the U.S. this year, and it's going after gelato lovers with a new lineup of inbound flavors. On the heels of Valentine's Day, Food Dive also spotted some new product launches from chocolate and vodka makers. Here are five such products ready to begin vying for shelf space at retail:
1. STRACCIATELLA, SEA SALT CARAMEL AND LIMONCELLO GELATO
Haagen-Dazs is taking tastebuds to Italy in April when it rolls out its new line of gelato flavors. The official announcement from the ice cream giant lists seven flavors—stracciatella, sea salt caramel, dark chocolate chip, vanilla bean, cappucino, limoncello and blank cherry amaretto—for the first wave of varieties that will come in 14 oz. cartons at a suggested retail price of $4.79. Their sea salt caramel gelato and vanilla bean gelato will also come in 3.6 oz. cups at a suggested retail price of $1.49.

2. PASSION FRUIT YOGURT
Company: Noosa Finest Yoghurt
Noose named its seventh flavor last week, announcing Noosa Passion Fruit as its latest creation. The company claims placement at 5,000-plus retailers, including Whole Foods, Target, Safeway and Fresh Market stores, where this tart, Australian-style concoction should be making appearances.
3. WASABI AND STRAWBERRY EXCELLENCE CHOCOLATE BARS
Company: Lindt & Sprungli
Lindt & Sprungli went bold with their new wasabi-spiked chocolate bars. The flavor was already available in the UK and Australia, but this month it joins Strawberry Excellence bars and Lindor caramel truffles among the company's latest offerings.
4. BACON & CHEDDAR CHIPOTLE MASHED POTATOES
Idahoan bolstered the ranks of its flavored mashed potato offerings this week with the release of its new Bacon & Cheddar Chipotle product. Walmart has them first, but the press release indicates that these packages should be getting wider distribution in the spring.

5. VANILLA AND ROSE V-ONE VODKA
Company: Valley Vodka, Inc.
Creator Paul Kozub says he came up with his new vanilla and rose "Love" flavor of V-One Vodka while preparing for a wedding. It debuted for Valentine's Day at a handful of locations and is coming across the Atlantic Ocean in 750-milliliter bottles for more stores and bars as Kozub looks to expand its presence.
