Chef Ming Tsai brings his delicious vegan patties to Fenway for the upcoming Red Sox homestand
MingsBings, Chef Ming Tsai’s frozen vegan patty line, today announced its eight-day stint at Fenway Park. For over a century, vegans, vegetarians and those who need gluten-free meals have had limited food options at baseball parks. Fenway Park will now be offering its fans a vegan and gluten-free hand-held food option for the first time ever. MingsBings’ Original Veggie-Filled Bing and new aged-ballpark favorite Plant-Based Sausage and Peppers Bing, will be available to purchase before and during the Boston Red Sox games from Thursday, July 22nd through Thursday, July 29th.
“The Plant-Based Sausage and Peppers Bing was created as an ode to the original sandwich served by the many vendors outside Fenway Park. I have combined all the flavors: mustard, onions, peppers, and Italian “sausage” of this classic and wrapped it in one crunchy bing, said Chef Ming Tsai, Founder, President, and Chairman of MingsBings. “I wanted to create the nostalgia of this Fenway food for folks who have either never tasted it themselves due to celiac or other food allergies or for people looking to mix in more plants without missing their favorite ballpark flavor. When you take a bite of the Plant-Based Sausage and Peppers Bing, you immediately forget you are eating plant-based and are transported right into the park. To be able to sell such a food inclusive product at a ballpark like Fenway, which stresses family and fun for all, is nothing short of a home run.”
Launched by world-renowned Asian-American chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and James Beard award-winner, Chef Ming Tsai in November 2020, MingsBings, are a vegan update of the traditional Chinese street food Bing. Each of the five flavors, including the Original Veggie-Filled Bing, Buffalo Cauliflower Bing, Fiesta Bing, Cheeseburger Bing, and Plant-Based Sausage & Peppers Bing are packed with flavor and are plant-based, gluten-free, and dairy-free. MingsBings’ brand commitment, “Eat Good. Feel Good. Do Good.,” represents Chef Ming Tsai’s mission to make plant-based food allergen-friendly, delicious, accessible, and convenient for as many people as possible. Chef Tsai not only believes your health is your wealth but believes in spreading that wealth by providing a vegan alternative for families.
