Dive Insight:
It's always tough when folks lose their jobs. And good-paying work is hard to come by these days in Central Pennsylvania. But we cannot begrudge Windsor this decision. The floods are, obviously, a major problem. And the company confirmed that the water woes contributed to the decision to relocate. Local officials say they will move ahead with a $15 million plan to build a floodwall around the Windsor plant and another nearby facility. The hope is that someone else will want to take over Windsor's plant. That seems unlikely, and we expect the town will change plans when emotions cool.
