- Pittsburgh will once again produce a food product under the Heinz label, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
- Heinz has signed a deal with Bay Valley Foods, a Pittsburgh-based unit of TreeHouse Foods, to produce baby food under the Heinz name on the city's Northside.
- Heinz owned that same plant until it was sold in 2002 to Del Monte Foods, ending the last remaining Heinz production in the city.

This must come as welcome news to the city of Pittsburgh and the workers at Heinz. In April, the company offered buyouts to Pittsburgh employees who might not have been able to fit in with the new corporate culture.
