M&M's to launch birthday cake flavor

  • M&M's will release a new "Birthday Cake" flavor in May 2014.
  • The new flavor will be sold in single-serve and 8-ounce sizes.
  • It is currently unknown whether the flavor is limited edition or a permanent fixture.

Dive Insight:

We've seen some pretty wild M&M's lately with candy corn, white chocolate carrot cake and the also-recently-announced pumpkin spice flavors. Despite that little pumpkin flavor craze, our money is on the new "Birthday Cake" flavor as the potential best of the bunch—and, along with Birthday Cake Oreos and birthday cake-flavored vodka, hopefully another step toward an even tastier fad.
