Dive Insight:
In an earlier statement announcing plans for their collaboration, executives from both KitchenAid and SodaStream commented on the partnership's benefit for both brands. “Working with SodaStream brings together their best-in-class technology with our stylish design signature to offer a premium product for our consumers worldwide,” observed David Elliott, general manager of KitchenAid small appliances. While SodaStream has been building up partnerships with various brands for flavors, this is a new direction for it to partner with another appliance producer. Even more so than the Keurig partnership with Coke to bring out a cold drinks system, this partnership with KitchenAid shows that DIY carbonation systems have truly arrived.
