Coca-Cola to begin construction of plant in Gaza

  • The first truckloads of equipment for a new Coca-Cola factory have crossed the border into Gaza. 
  • The soft drink giant has pledged to build a factory in the war-torn region by 2015, bringing jobs to the impoverished area. 
  • Coke rival PepsiCo has operated a plant in Gaza since 1962.

Here's hoping that the factory brings a bit of relief to the besieged residents of that troubled land.
