Re-Nuble is a NYC based, mission driven social enterprise dedicated to increasing resource efficiency and sustainability in our cities. Re-Nuble uses a capital light, patent pending process to transform vegetative/food waste into non-toxic, liquid hydroponic nutrients that help boost hydroponic yields at a fraction of the cost of chemically based alternatives. Our proprietary process enabled by technology allows us to convert food waste into a cheaper, highly sterile and stable, organic-based liquid fertilizer for the indoor agriculture industry. We are focused on the commercialization of formulas and technologies to turn food waste streams into biobased materials for indoor growing systems. In doing so, we aim to create completely sustainable, closed loop food and plant production systems.

Job Description

Who We’re Looking For:
Re-Nuble is currently seeking to fill the position of Manufacturing/Operations Manager. This individual will be passionate about pushing resource efficiency to the max! Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and monitoring plant operations for safety, quality, and efficient performance and leading plant expansion projects. Requires close communication and coordination with our Chief Executive Officer and current Chief Operating Officer. Drives Continuous Improvement by providing training, tools, data, and leadership to our expanding operations team.

Works very closely with our food waste supplier/partner and other stakeholders on site planning and all forms of continuous improvement projects aimed directly at improving line efficiencies, reducing waste and generally lowering cost of production.

Develops team's ability to solve their own day-to-day operational issues utilizing continuous improvement methods. Performs as a proactive, "change agent" leader in the facility, providing support and direction to members of the team. Leads, motivates, and trains employees to achieve production results, improve individual skills, and enhance teamwork.

❏ Responsible for ensuring safety in the plant. Ensure a safe work environment by ensuring safe work behaviors and safe work conditions, and corrects any deficiencies in a timely manner. Monitors building security and manages orderly and efficient recordkeeping.
❏ Provides training to employees as needed e.g., Safety, SOP's and user manuals
❏ Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve people performance and overall quality of work life and morale
❏ Leads quality/continuous improvement initiatives in support of Operations
❏ Takes on leadership role training and implementing Continuous Improvement efforts within the team
❏ Implements quality tools such as SPC, "Best Practices", and SOP's
❏ Leads lean manufacturing methodologies to establish a sustained culture
❏ Looks for, implements and shares Best Practices
❏ Identifies quality issues and develop solutions to maximize quality assurance and minimize waste
❏ Supports and complies with all external regulatory compliance and company policies, directives, and procedures
❏ Develops and implements plans to reduce waste and control weights
❏ Ensures material scrap is at minimum levels
❏ Evaluates material specifications and drive test procedures to optimize performance
❏ Works with Operations, Technical Packaging and vendors to improve Raw and Packaging Materials performance
❏ Responsible for the achievement of department efficiency goals and standards
❏ Ensures Maintenance and Production track downtime through the use of PETS (Prevention, Education, and Trainings) and develop and implement plans with operators and mechanics to improve line performance
❏ Develops and implements capital expansion project plans
❏ Instructs operational personnel on how to correct or enhance performance
❏ Ensures efficient use of resources to maximize labor savings
❏ Anticipates trends in organization's market trends, raw material purchasing price fluctuations, community factors or associate cultural factors which may influence operating activities
❏ Anticipates and provides strategic direction on capital projects and equipment needs
❏ Provides accurate and timely standard costs for new products
❏ Available 24/7 as issues arise in operating activities
