Job Description


The Sales Assistant position will report directly to the Sales Manager in our Torrance, CA facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, executing the administrative tasks of the Sales staff professionally and in a timely manner and providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.


  • Receives and processes retail sales orders
  • Provides information regarding current pricing, changes in service, discontinuance of items, and shipping
  • Recommends potential services to Sales Manager by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
  • Maintains and sends sales materials to customers upon request
  • Works closely with Purchasing department to ensure inventory levels are sufficient
  • Attends and participates in weekly sales meetings
  • Coordinates conference calls with brokers, outside sales reps and vendors
  • Coordinates demos with outside demo representatives, as needed
  • Actively communicates with customers by answering questions, responding to product inquiries, and following up on requests
  • Ensures positive internal and external customer experience
  • Identifies and resolves client concerns via phone and/or email
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to management in order to expedite solutions
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management





  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year experience in a sales assistant or equivalent role
  • Experience in retail, food and beverage, or natural product industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Quickbooks is a plus
