Job Description


The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for monitoring and ensuring operations within the Accounting department are accounted for in order to provide accurate financial reporting to the Accounting Manager and the General Manager.


  • Reviews and ensures entries are accurately entered into the accounting information system
  • Approves ledger entries by auditing transactions
  • Monitors and controls expenditures
  • Verifies and approves cash disbursements by verifying necessary payment method via pre-printed checks, wire transfer, ACH, PayPal, credit card, etc.
  • Audits and approves expense reports per company policy and submits to Accounting Analyst for payment
  • Verifies and reconciles bank statements, PayPal, and Amazon accounts
  • Examines and determines credit lines and/or payment plans for new and existing customers
  • Develops month-end and year-end closing documents
  • Works closely with Accounting Manager to prepare for month-end and year-end closing
  • Assists Accounting Manager and department managers with budgets and forecasting
  • Prepares financial reports for management
  • Develops department reports for internal use
  • Coordinates, collects, and consolidates financial data to monitor, control, and forecast cash flow
  • Works closely with Accounting Manager with to ensure accounting documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Obtain and/or maintains lease contracts
  • Calculates commissions payments based on current commissions agreement for Sales department
  • Works closely with Sales department to ensure sales pricing lists are accurate
  • Analyzes and approves invoices created by Accounting Analyst prior to distribution
  • Investigates and resolves invalid and unauthorized deductions with sales department and enters adjusting entries
  • Assists with annual inventory audit
  • Coordinates and collects documents and information to prepare for audit
  • Serves as liaison between Accounting Manager and General Manager and auditors by providing information requested
  • Maintains accounting information system
  • Manages file of accounting and financial related documents
  • Troubleshoots any issues with the accounting information system
  • Trains new accounting staff members
  • Supports and provides accounting related information internally





  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, or related field or combination of education and experience
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in Accounting Analyst or equivalent role
  • Experience in Supervisor role a plus
  • Must have experience working with confidential documents and have excellent organization and communication skills and is detail oriented with a high accuracy rate
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Quickbooks experience a plus
