McLEAN, Va., July 13, 2017 – With backyard cookouts now dotting calendars everywhere, The National Fisheries Institute’s Salmon Council has tapped two of its favorite online partners for a new initiative promoting salmon as the perfect choice for summer grilling.
The Salmon Council’s latest foray into food fun with The Recipe Critic and Natasha’s Kitchen revives a set of relationships started earlier this year. This time, the two influencers’ blogs are demonstrating how salmon can quickly and easily be grilled into a delicious summer meal. Each blogger came up with an original dish showcasing not only how effortless it is to grill salmon, but also how perfectly salmon pairs with other summer flavors.
The recipe lineup, which was posted in late June, features the following:
Grilled Spicy Blackened Salmon Tacos with Pineapple Avocado Salsa, by The Recipe Critic (Alyssa Rivers)
Grilled Salmon with Garlic Lime Butter, by Natasha’s Kitchen (Natasha Kravchuck)
“We’re thrilled with the salmon recipes Natasha and Alyssa created for our summer grilling feature. They’re really reinforcing the fact that salmon is one of the easiest proteins to prepare,” said Brandon Phillips, Senior Director of Communications and Advocacy with NFI. “From all the positive feedback we’re seeing, it’s clear that readers love these recipes as much as we do.”
The bloggers’ posts and their accompanying social media shares have already attracted 1.3 million views and more than 10,000 engagements, with the numbers rising daily.
Last February, the Salmon Council teamed with Natasha’s Kitchen and The Recipe Critic in a campaign tied to American Heart Month. The online initiative emphasized the Council’s long-standing positioning of salmon as a nutritious and delicious option benefiting heart health and overall well-being.
