Dive Insight:
Releasing more gluten-free products is a newer trend as of late as consumers shift their demands for healthy foods. Snyder's-Lance isn't alone by any means. Just earlier this week, gluten-free flour-based foods producer Smart Flour Brands reported receiving $3.8 million in financing ($4 million planned), according to the Austin Business Journal. Last week, Scottish brewery Brewdog joined in the gluten-free craft beer movement with its first gluten-free beer, Vagabond Gluten Free Pale Ale.
