We were surprised to see that the retention rates for convenience store managers had risen. Our sense has been that it's getting harder and harder to keep people in nearly every type of job. Even during the past few years of economic difficulty, it has seemed that people keep coming and going at every business we frequent. Apparently the convenience store industry is doing something right.
