- Kraft Heinz Co. has announced a voluntary recall of 36,000 cases of Kraft Singles due to potential choking hazards caused by a malfunctioning wrapper.
- "A thin strip of the packaging film could remain adhered to the cheese slice even after the wrapper has been removed," WGNTV.com reported. That packaging film could be a choking hazard.
- There have been at least 10 complaints and three people almost choked.

This isn't Kraft's first recall this year. In March, the company performed a massive recall of 6.5 million Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner products due to possible contamination of metal pieces. This voluntary recall comes shortly after Kraft and Heinz became a combined company and as new ownership begins its new system of cost and job cuts. More changes are likely to come.
