- Chobani has debuted a new advertising campaign that touts its commitment to natural products and food quality.
- The campaign features full-page ads in newspapers, extensive use of discount coupons, and a social-media play aimed at spreading the idea that Chobani is free of preservatives and artificial colors.
- This is the first ad campaign since Chobani was rocked by a recall two months ago after mold was found in its products. As part of the campaign Chobani is sending letters to the more than 150,000 people who contacted the company during that recall.
Dive Insight:
Years ago we ran long-distance track in high-school. In one particular race that holds a special place in our memory, we were about 25 yards behind a much stronger runner and the finish line loomed in the near distance. It seemed clear we would finish in second place. And then that other runner tripped and fell.
We suspect that Dannon USA's Oikos brand knows exactly how we felt.
