- Bacardi announced that Robert Furniss-Roe, the head of its operations in North America, has resigned.
- Peter Carr, an executive with Dallas-based liquor distributor Glazer's, was named the new president for the region.
- Several hours after Furniss-Roe's resignation was made public, the company said that Derek Hopkins, national sales director for Bacardi's U.S. business, had also resigned. The company said that an executive named Rich Andrews would assume that role.

The apparent shake-up in North American operations comes just three months after Bacardi named Michael Dolan as interim CEO.
If Dolan is changing out his team -- and that appears to be what's happening -- that's not necessarily reason for concern. On the other hand, some of the changes coming out of Bacardi since Dolan took the helm have proven quite concerning to ... the New England Patriots football team.
